On December 11, 2014, General Assembly of UN declared 21st June as International Yoga day on the urge of Indian Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi. 177 countries supported it. Why is this day chosen? 21st June is the longest day in Northern Hemisphere and has special significance in many parts of the world that is why 21st June is announced as International Yoga Day.
